What to Pack For a 5 Day Beach Resort Vacation

what to ware_thumbCongratulations! You’ve managed to exit the daily grind for a 5-day trip to a luxurious beach resort. You won’t want to waste a minute in line at baggage claim. Or run the risk of the airline sending your bags on a detour. Just imagine arriving at your destination—with none of those fabulous pieces you envisioned yourself wearing! Remember Courtney’s RULE for travel 5 days and under: always carry on your luggage. This might limit your packing options, but it prevents lost luggage when you arrive. What to do about limited space? Pack neutral clothing you can mix and match, and make sure your hotel offers laundry service. Have an idea of the activities you’ll pursue. Once you’ve established the itinerary, begin to plan the outfits you’ll need. Of course you’ll be lounging on the beach, but you’ll likely head out for dinner and perhaps some nightlife, an excursion on land or water, and active sports like tennis, golf, jogging—and shopping. Modify your packing list based on your interests. If you’re adventurous and plan multiple day trips, bring more of that type of clothing and less loungewear. Your travel look will double as part of your wardrobe while you vacation.
